Author writes with great clarity and an engaging tone, welcoming us into the book with enthusiasm and expectancy. We can tell from the first questions that this will be a fresh unfolding of insights. Well done. Author grounds the reader in relatable concepts. I liked the establishing statement that we are not exploring whether or not we should do something, but what purpose it would serve. That puts us *before* the issue with an open mind. Well done. Author creates a fine analogy that when we listen to music, we’re not listening to individual notes but to the flow and movement of the music. The book works the same way, as each movement of the narrative creates a gorgeous cadence into the next. Excellent structuring; the order of topics builds upon itself, and we are delivered to strong segments with better understanding. Author presents us with topics such as projection in such a gentle way that we can self-assess safely, willing to embrace the new point of view. Author has a fine instinct for the measure of her personal experience, peppering the book with such points of relatability so as to better serve the reader. This is not an author-focused book; it is instead an author-supported book. Very well done. We partner with our guide here. The Forgiveness chapter is particularly strong, as we use our humility and the author’s analogies for growth. Author keeps a fine pace, avoiding the common issue of a lull in the middle that is so common to info-packed books that keep the lessons coming. Author has put great effort into avoiding the lull, placing the most relatable portions in the right places, supported by great effort in example research. Fabulous wrap-up on page 253, achieving a marvel of summation that illuminates the cord of meaning running through each of the chapters. Fine and resonant work that stays with the reader.

“The title is a bit misleading as I feel that this book is so much more than its description. It is the amalgamation of mind, body, spirit, self, and present. Highly recommended for higher spiritual enlightenment.”

Volume I: Meditation on Love, Relationship, Fear, Death, Intuition, and Power is a self-help book written as a guide for people wanting to live a more meaningful life. The author Noura covers meditation; love as our natural state and the mastery of love; unity and mental strength; how to overcome our resistance to life and much, much more.
Noura presents her theories and ideas as art, with the reader meant to find the personal meaning in the lessons and benefits. She says, “…we may all read the same words, but we may see different meanings.” That is refreshing since many self-help authors present their ideas as the one solution to everyone’s problems. She advocates understanding the cause of a problem before searching for a solution, which sounds obvious, but really isn’t. A problem for a dozen people (weight gain, for instance) could have a dozen causes, calling for different solutions for each one.
Volume I: Meditation on Love, Relationship, Fear, Death, Intuition, And Power is a thought-provoking, easy to read book that covers many issues with living life today. Recommended for all readers.

Purpose – Volume 1 by Noura is a well written self-help book that embraces Meditation on Love, Relationship, Fear, Death, Intuition, And Power. The author begins by relating how her love of reading began, and how her mother always had plenty of books around for her. Noura discovered and developed her ability to write her ideas, thoughts, and feelings down on paper. Many times, she would wake up with an idea, and write it down in the note pad that was kept next to her bed. She touches on the horrific Las Vegas shooting, and how we can approach such violence, pain, grief, and sorrow. Then she touches on the subject of violence throughout history, from the beginning of time. Before one can solve these dilemmas, we must know what questions to ask ourselves, so that we can come to solutions through meditation.
Noura’s style of writing is very insightful, polished, and flawlessly worded to enable the reader to join her on her journey to unravel the roots of the many different problems that happen in our lives. What question should we ask ourselves? This is where meditating on these issues will bring about solutions. She writes with passion as her ideas and solutions come to fruition, as if they are her children. Noura has packed a lot of information into Purpose – Volume 1 and I feel that parents would do well to have this articulate work in their home libraries. This book was easy to read, and very thought provoking on all levels. Well done, Noura!

The true nature of humans is one of love. If we do not experience joy or peace, then something is inhibiting this. Purpose – Volume I: Meditation on Love, Relationship, Fear, Death, Intuition, And Power by Noura attempts to display and explain how meditation can be used to better oneself, and how to gain strength, wisdom and knowledge of not only yourself but humanity as a whole. It covers many aspects of life, from relationships to death, including an array of emotions, targets, and how both internal and external factors can affect us.
Well presented and well written, in this book the author points out that a reader will put their own meaning to the words. I thought this was a brilliant insight, since everyone who reads it will have their own interpretation on what is written, and they will take away from it something that someone else may not. As a qualified holistic therapist, amongst other things I have studied meditation, mindfulness, and all manner of applications, but I am always open to learning and seeing other interpretations which may influence my own practices. I am so pleased I picked up this book.
Many books on similar topics often come across as either wooden and overly complex, or too familiar, Noura presents Purpose – Volume I in a user-friendly and unassuming style, making it accessible to novices to the topic, or those who have studied and already possess some insight. Whilst I don’t agree with some of the premises, such as love being our true nature, this does not change the wealth of knowledge within, and there are plenty of applications and insights that are fluid and adaptable to fit most belief foundations. It’s a well-structured book and makes for an interesting and thought-provoking read.
